韩国国立全北大学入学简介

国立全北大学是韩国国立大学中历史最为悠久，最为著名的国立大学之一，其所在地为韩国全罗北道全州市，故而得名全北大学。

The Chonbuk National University Charter

Chonbuk National University was founded in 1947, following the liberation of the nation, by the Provincial fund within the framework of Korean national university system. It's mandate was to nurture the national ethos of pursuing truth through excellence in teaching and research in the ever-extending frontiers of human knowledge. From its inception, the University has grown into one of the major national universities, taking great strides in the fields of arts, humanities, social and natural sciences. Further it has continued serving well for the regional as well as the national interest and aspiration for the better human conditions under the guiding philosophy: Freedom, Justice and Creativity.

The University recognizes its mission as a higher learning institution that should help cultivate creative mind and leadership to foster and preserve the equal opportunity for all members of society. Given such opportunities adequately afforded, their endowed potentials should be fully developed so as to meet challenges coming from the rapidly changing world of great uncertainty. It elieves that the creative mind coupled with strong liberal education based mindset will enable young emerging leadership to work effectively for human? common good for society.

Thus, the two-fold founding mission of the University is to help pursue excellence in teaching and research through truth seeking and further to develop the leadership character of new generations to lead creative endeavor for the new world of global age.

Only for relevant applicant
i) A foreigner with Korean-ancestry : family register
ii) Applicant staying within Korea : A copy of passport and a record of entrance and exit of Korea
iii) TOEFL or Korean language proficiency test score, if applicable
iv) Applicant for the area of arts or athletics : photos of artistic works or proof of achievements.

Financial Certificates (Choose one)
1) Bank Statement : It should show that applicant's financial sponsor has deposited more than US$ 10,000 in a bank for more than a month as of the date the statement is issued, or he/she should remit US$ 10,000 to Chonbuk National University through the bank.

2) The applicant's sponsor should enclose one of the following documents :
i) Certificate of employment or certificate of entrepreneur
ii) Certificate of property taxation
According to the regulation of Jeonju Immigration Office, any professor of Chonbuk National University can't be financial supporter for an applicant.

3) In case that the applicant (who have enrolled in Korean university for more than 6 months) had the permission for part-time job in Korea, the permission could replace the financial certificate. Therefore, these applicants need to bring their passport.

2. Application fee
1) Amount : 50,000 Korean won (US$ 45)

2) Payment :
i) in case you send the application in person, you should pay by Korean currency.
ii) in case you apply by mail, you should enclose US$ telegraphic remittance or send the money to following account;

1) Admission in March - October 1 ~ October 31, 2004 for in person ; October 16, for the posted application

2) Admission in August - April 11, 2005 ~ May 6, 2005 for in person ; March 31 for the posted application

Scholarship

No new student can receive any scholarship in the first semester. From the next (2nd) semester, scholarship can be granted to the student with higher grade. (The average grade of previous semester should be 90 points at least, and the scholarship would be discriminated by the grade of students within the budget.)

You may receive research assistant scholarship in case you participate in you professor's research project.

Apply for Residence Hall

i) An applicant who wants to live in Residence Hall should fill out the application & signed pledge and submit it to the administration office at each college after admission is granted.
ii) Since the rooms at Residence Hall is limited, you should ask about the vacancy via the administration office at each college.
