  MongoDB supports reading configuration information from a file. This can be useful if you have a large set of options you want to use or are automating the task of starting up MongoDB. To tell the server to get options from a configuration file, use the -f or --config flags.

  The most basic tool for getting statistics about a running MongoDB server is the serverStatus command, which has the following output (exact keys present may vary by platform/server version):.
