1.I believe that the evolution of digital multimodal creation has evolved from simple PPT production to diverse factors such as inserting images and audio, and then to creating your own videos, adding subtitle, narration, stickers, and visual effects. As people's understanding of digital multimodal creation deepens, their presentation methods become more vivid and vivid, and the diverse factors of videos become more captivating
2.In the process of learning DMC, there are many challenges for me, such as writing text, adding multiple factors to videos, and how to complete a multimodal work on my own. Learn from feedback from teachers and peers, and elevate the work. And in each class, learn about the shortcomings of other students to avoid more mistakes. Secondly, learn good works online and learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses
3.Multimodal communication gives a work its soul. For example, music allows our spiritual emotions to resonate physically and spiritually; Videos and images give us a visual impact, deepening our impression of a work and making the portrayal of the characters or objects more deeply ingrained in people's hearts; Secondly, our commentary or subtitles make the central idea of a work clearer and make the audience more eager to watch it. Multimodality mobilizes a person's psychology and senses, making a story more meaningful.
4.My creative process is really a gradual growth process. From the beginning, it was just PPT and monotonous commentary, to the later addition of music that matched the theme, and finally to the first real creation of video commentary. Although the difficulty is gradually increasing, my creative skills are also constantly being exercised. I have learned how to control time, how to read emotionally, and how to select theme music and video clips, all of which I have learned during the creative process. Of course, in addition, I think my creativity still needs improvement, such as how to create a video like the first time my senior met us with more original pictures or videos, how to catch people's attention with moving text clips, and so on. These are all things that I will gradually explore in the future.
5.The most rewarding aspect of the course was how to create a video, because in the process of creating a video, I needed to write touching text and learned a lot of theoretical knowledge not just from books. The DMC course taught me how to practice. In this course, my writing ability has not only been improved, but in the current era of big data, learning DMC can also provide me with an additional technology that keeps up with the trend of the times, which is a very meaningful course
