There is one definition of the seed() method in interface class RandomState:

VSCode hint displays the docstring of this seed() method which appears first.
There's also a seed() function directly defined in the random package:
The help(numpy.random.seed) returns the docstring of this seed() function.
So the VSCode hint gives the wrong documentation.
