I can't stand it !

曾经教过大家"I've had enough." ‘我受够了。’"I've had enough of him." ‘我受够了这个人。’可能长时间这个人做了一些令你讨厌的事情，到了最后，你终于要说受不了他。但今天要教大家是："I can't stand it!" ‘我受不了这个人，我受不了这件事情。’"I can't stand him!"我受不了他。"I can't stand shopping!" ‘我受不了逛街这件事情!’"I can't stand hamburgers!" ‘我受不了汉堡包!’"I can't stand it!" ‘我受不了！’其实令人受不了的事情真是蛮多的。记得有一次看电影，剧情是说母亲期盼着逃兵儿子回来，一年复一年，孩子终于回来了，母亲很激动说："I can't stand it anymore!" 万万没有想到字幕打出来是 ‘我再也不能站立。’意思完全译错了，真是啼笑皆非。如果你不想用"I can't stand it!"的话，你还可以用"I can't tolerate it."或是："I can't bear it."

甲：我再也受不了!
乙：放松一点。你有什么不妥呀？
甲：有一只蚊子正绕着我头飞来飞去。

I can't stand it!是 ‘我再也受不了!’。 ‘忍受’英文叫stand，也可说put up with，例如：I wouldn't put up with / stand his arrogance if I were you. （我是你的话，就不会容忍他的狂妄态度。） 难以忍受的人或物，会get on one's nerves. Nerve是‘神经’，to get on one's nerves即‘使人神经紧张或烦躁不安’，例如：The jam of the traffic is getting on my nerves.（车辆的声音使我心烦。）

不过，现实即使难以忍受，我们往往也无可奈何，这英文叫做If you don't like it, you may lump it.（假如你不喜欢，也要忍受。），lump作动词解作‘忍受’，是俗语用法。

和like it or lump it 同义的，有to grin（露齿而笑）and bear（忍受）it 一语，直译是‘苦笑着忍受’或‘逆来顺受’。
