Dual mode: Write-block & Read/write
Forensic ComboDock v5 is a safe implementation of a dual-mode Dock. It's easy to switch from write-blocked mode into read/write mode, for when you need to work with information on bare drives.
Helps you protect your chain of custody
Unlike other forensic devices in the market, Forensic ComboDock makes it impossible to unintentionally turn off write-blocking. Every time it is turned on, Forensic ComboDock asks the user to choose either write-blocking or read/write mode, avoiding problems that can occur when the user forgets to change the mode to write-blocking. This is a simpler, and more secure way to turn off write-blocking, compared to other devices in the market that require the user to turn off write-blocking with tiny switches, often leading to confusion about what mode the device is in. Forensic ComboDock's LED indicator light and an easy screen menu also clearly identify the work mode.
Professional Hard Drive Imager
Forensic ComboDock is the premium WiebeTech Forensic Dock. With five ports on the host side, native PATA and SATA drive connections, two power options, a recessed on/off switch guard, 6 status LEDs and an LCD in a strong and rugged aluminum enclosure, Forensic ComboDock is the leading forensic field imager.

v5 family Features

Fast
With an upgraded chipset and faster host connections (USB 3.0, eSATA, and FireWire 800), ComboDock v5 is 24% faster than v4 predecessors. v5 was clocked at 211.9 MB/s when used with a solid state drive connected over eSATA.
LCD screen and Menu
The LCD and menu system make it convenient to view drive information, error/warning messages, or remove HPA/DCOs.
USB 3.0
Multiple connectivity options include USB 3.0, eSATA and FireWire 800 ports.
Device Info/S.M.A.R.T.
Drive information is at your fingertips. Quickly access selected important S.M.A.R.T. data such as hours used, number of power cycles, and disk health. Forensic ComboDock v5 can also display the model and serial number reported by the drive's firmware.

Host access through eSATA, USB 3.0 or FireWire
WiebeTech's proprietary write-blocked technology offers easy read-only access to suspect hard drives through eSATA as well as USB 3.0 and FireWire 800/400 for maximum versatility. Download and image contents of a suspect drive without risk of data being written back to the drive. And it's compatible with forensic acquisition and analysis software.
HPA/DCO detection and modification
Gain full access to the hidden portions of a hard drive. View, alter, or remove hidden areas such as Host Protected Areas (HPAs) or Device Configuration Overlays (DCOs) on a hard drive.
Easy to use!
Connect the hard drive to the Forensic ComboDock, plug in power, and attach a cable to a host computer. That's all it takes. The drive connector allows for automatic alignment and easy insertion. For more protection to the drive, a mounting plate can be screwed onto the bottom of the drive to protect the drive's circuitry.
