Some people think that reading, writing, listening and speaking are same important when we are learning a foreign language. Do you agree or disagree? 250 words.

【my answer】

It is said that reading,writing,listening and speaking hold the same importance when we are learning a foreign language. I am not totally agree with this argument.

It's acknowledged that the imporvement of reading,writing,listening and speaking needs beginers to foucs on different aspects of the language. While reading and writing are based on vocabulary and grammar, speaking and listening are more related to pronunciation and concentrating. So in my opinion, the importance of the four aspects various depends on the purpose of learning that language.

Different people use the foreign laguage they've learned in a totally different way. It's not necessary for those who will never meet native speakers or listen to foreign language audios to practice listening or speaking hard. Maybe they are more likely to read foreign materials or share ideas on foreign websites when proficiency in reading and writing would be more helpful. On the contrary, for those who have just moved into a foreign country, imporving listening and speaking must come with the top priority. If they pay more attention to enhancing their reading & writing skills, that would cost them a lot of effort to get used to the non native language environment.

In conclusion, different people may think differently on the importance of the reading writing listening speaking four aspects while learning English because of they have various goals. So I don't totally agree with that stated argument since it didn't take everyone's background into consideration.
