1. First, input a sentence.

"We'd better struggle for the future rather than regret for the past"

 

2. If you dont want to make the words more eathetic, you can skip to step 3.

Press "ctrl" and click the "T" icon, to choose the select the boundary of the sentence.

 

 

Choose gradient tool.

 

Select a style you like.

 

Creat a new layer.

 

Press left mouse from left to right.

 

Press "ctrl + D" to give up selection.

 

 

3. Creat a new layer

 

Use brush tool to draw a white light, of course you can use other colors.

 

It is the light start position.

 

 

4. Window menu -> Timeline ( some versions of photoshop call it animation,here i use PS6)

 

Press it.

 

 

Do as the steps in picture.

 

Change it to 0.1 seconds, it is the time that the frame has.

 

Create a new layer.

 

Choose the light layer

 

Press "->" key to move it to the right.

 

This button, tewwns the animation frames.

 

The frame you we need. Now i choose 20.

 

Select light layer, click right mouse, choose "create clipping mask" to blend it 

 

Preview it.

 

Save it for web 

 

choose gif format.
