The two pictures compare the layout of the Southwest Airport with a plan to redevelop the airport next year.
We can see that the new design proposal involves replacing the current walkway, mainly on the top of the airport. There are no plans to relocate the security room, passport control room and the customs room.
The most noticeable change is that the current walkway will be replaced with a sky train when the redevelopment has been done. The current walk way only has 8 gates, but it will be dramatically enlarged to 18 gates. The y-shape sky train will have two directions as well. The proposed departures and arrivals plan is that they will both have two gates.
To redesign the current arrivals, a new café, a new ATM and a new car hire will be located on the right site. Finally, the planned development will also include relocating the check-in from left site to right site, replacing the current check-in with a bag drop and adding a café in the corner of the current departures.
