On the Continuity of Human Consciousness

Known Facts:

1. One will lose consciousness if blood supply for the brain is cut off.

2. One will lose consciousness if the brain is completely destroyed.

3. After the corpus callosotomy, the "self" perception remains unity in spite of hemispherical communication deficits.

Theory:

1. Human consciousness arises from the interaction between blood and brain. Discontinuation of any of these two leads to the discontinuance of the consciousness.

2. Blood supply for an organ is mapped to the status of a certain part of the alimentary tract.

Applications:

1. Dream is the reflection of gastrointestinal stimulation.

2. Emotion interacts with the gastrointestinal microbial ecology reciprocally.

3. Information in the brain could be transferred to another body via microoganism.
