create-react-app webpack4升级webpack5

因为脚手架默认是隐藏webpack配置的,所以需要先运行npm run eject或yarn eject暴露配置文件,然后我们就可以开始升级了。

升级需要改动的文件包括分为package.js、 webpack.config.js、webpackDevServer.config 三处。

package.json 更新

主要是webpack相关包、babel相关包、react相关包、postcss相关包,直接贴对比图了。

webpack.config.js文件的更新

部分插件弃用

PnpWebpackPlugin、ManifestPlugin、WatchMissingNodeModulesPlugin、ModuleScopePlugin、typescriptFormatter,主要删除对应的配置。

部分配置弃用

output移除futureEmitAssets属性。

node配置移动到fallback,参考官网迁移指南。

WorkboxWebpackPlugin移除importWorkboxFrom和navigateFallbackBlacklist属性。

ForkTsCheckerWebpackPlugin 移除 formatter 属性。

部分字段更名

ManifestPlugin 更名为 WebpackManifestPlugin 。
jsonpFunction 更名为 chunkLoadingGlobal 。

部分报错处理

报错process is not defined,解决方法:链接,这里注意一点,如果改完之后报错Cannot find module 'process/browser' ,需要安装node-libs-browser这个依赖。

我这里最终改完的webpack.config.js 完整文件如下,这里因为项目中使用less,所以🈶关的sass配置注释掉了改成了less,其他都是默认脚手架的配置,没有额外优化。(目前的create-react-app 脚手架已经更新,新下载的就已经支持webpack5了,大家也可以直接参考最新脚手架的config来进行升级,我这里没有参考)

总结

webpack升级到5后,打包速度从50s降到37s,打包体积从32.5.Mb降到17.2Mb,构建速度没有统计,感觉还是很不错的。
升级过程实际上就是一个不断npm start、npm build然后根据提示查找原因的过程。期间查了不少webpack4升级5的博文,实际升级中能参考的十分有限,主要要是参考webpack官网升级指南、stackoverflow和各种的issue。坑还是蛮多的。这里的项目配置除了less没有额外的优化及修改,希望能给需要升级老项目的同学们提供一个参考,少踩一些坑。
