A Bird's Tale of Cinderella

I'm a little bird that lives in the grand garden of Cinderella's house. Every day, I sing my songs.I've seen Cinderella since she was a little girl. She was such a kind - hearted soul, always gentle to the small animals in the garden, just like me.
But then, her step - mother and step - sisters came. They treated her so badly. They made her do all the dirty and tiring work in the house. And at night, when the rest of the family was fast asleep, she'd curl up in a corner of the cold attic, exhausted and alone. I'd watch her through the small window, my heart aching for her.
One day, a royal invitation arrived. There was going to be a grand ball at the palace, and every eligible young lady in the land was invited. Cinderella was so excited at first. But her step - mother and step - sisters were so cruel. They ripped her beautiful dress and told her she couldn't go. I saw the tears well up in her eyes, and it broke my heart.
Just when all seemed lost, a miracle happened. A kind fairy godmother appeared. I fluttered around, watching in amazement as she waved her magic wand. The old rags on Cinderella's body turned into a gorgeous ball gown that sparkled like the moon on a clear night. Her feet were now in glass slippers that shone like diamonds. And then, mice in the garden were transformed into fine horses, pulling a magnificent carriage. Cinderella looked like a princess. She was so beautiful that I almost couldn't recognize her. With a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face, she climbed into the carriage and set off for the ball.At the ball, I followed her secretly. She danced with the prince, and they looked like a perfect match. Their steps were so graceful, and they seemed to be lost in their own world. But the magic was only going to last until midnight.
