ArcGIS10.2直连PostgreSQL存在问题

现象：

• 将下载到的libeay32.dll, libiconv-2.dll, libintl-8.dll, libpq.dll, ssleay32.dll文件拷贝到Desktop 安装目录的bin目录下；
• 启动ArcCatalog中的Add Database Connection，选择数据库PostgreSQL，instance设置为localhost(也曾使用过IP和端口)，用户名和密码均按要求设置完毕；
• 但在选择Database后弹出无法连接的对话框，内容为：Unable to connectto database server to retrieve database list;please verify your server name ,user name and password info and try again.Cannot connect to database because client software failed to load. Be sure the database client software is installed and configured correctly.

解决办法：

• 本机安装pgAdmin，即PostgreSQL数据库的客户端连接工具。
