Terminology
- Federated search: is an information retrieval technology that allows the simultaneous search of multiple searchable resources. Federated search came about to meet the need of searching multiple content sources with one query.
- Cohort: A cohort is a group of people who share a common characteristic or experience within a defined period (e.g., are born, are exposed to a drug or vaccine or pollutant, or undergo a certain medical procedure).
