SUPER stands for Semantics Utilized for Process Management within and between Enterprises. The major objective of SUPER is to raise Business Process Management (BPM) to the business level, where it belongs, from the IT level where it mostly resides now. This objective requires accessing the process space at the knowledge level by business experts. Combining SWS and BPM, and developing one consolidated technology SUPER will create horizontal ontologies for describing business processes and vertical telecommunications oriented ontologies to support domain-specific annotation. Within SUPER my main research concerns enhancing Business Process Analysis with semantics. In particular I'm devoting most efforts to Business Process Monitoring although other aspects like Business Process Mining or Reverse Business Engineering are strongly related.
European Project SUPER
SUPER is financed from the Europen Union 6th Framework Programme, within Information Society Technologies (IST) priority.
SUPER, as well as following projects, is a member of European Semantic Systems Initiative (ESSI) cluster:
- Adaptive Services Grid (ASG)
- Data Information and Process Integration (DIP)
- Knowledge Web
- Semantically Enabled Knowledge Technologies (SEKT)
- Triple Space Comunications (TripCom)
