今年，我们大学的选修课增加了一门新的副修课，这门课叫“信息技术”，从艺术系到
计算机工程系等11个不同的系都进行了参与。这
门选修课可能涵盖的内容是无穷无尽的，因为需要探索的领域是如此之多，而今天的社会又是如此依赖于计算机和技术的新发展。如果
你们学校没有类似的选修课，努力去开设一门是很有价值的。不仅你会从学到的知识中受益，你们学校的其他学生也会受益。  
这门
选修课有四个主要目的。第一个目的是学习计算、通信和网络，或信息存储、检索的实用技能。第二是理解信息技术对社会群体的影响
。第三是学习如何以想象的方式运用信息技术。第四是学习对公众有益的信息技术的运用。这四个目的不仅说明这门课程确实教给学生
有价值的知识，而且表明这门课程可以补充任何主修课。

This year, there's a new minor course added in our shool, named "Information Technology",with 11 different
departments, from department of art to department of computer engineering, involved to open this course.
If there's no course like that in your school, it's valuable to try to open one like that.Because not only you
will learn from it, but also your school and other students will benifit from it. There are 4 main goals of this
elective course. The first goal is to learn practical skills of computing, communication and internet, or
information storage and search. The second purpose is to understand how the information technology influences
towards the different social groups. The third goal is to study how to use information technology by ways of
imagination. The fourth purpose is to learn the use of information technology that does good to the public . The
fours goals not only shows that this course indeed offers students valuable knowledge, but also indicates this
course could make up for any major course.

Information Technology and is supported by 11 defferent departments,ranging from art to computer engi
neering.The possibilities of this minor are endless,because there are so many options to explore,and
 today’s society is so enthralled with computers and new developments in technology.Even if your s
chool does not have a minor that corresponds to the classes that I am taking,it would be a worth
while endeavor to try to develop a program.Not only would you benefit from the information learned,
but the rest of the students at your school would benefit also.  
There are four main objectives of the minor.The first is to learn practical skills in computing,communications

and networking,or data storage/retrieval.The school is to understand the impact of information technology

on social communities.The third is to gain knowledge of how information technology can be used in imaginative ways.

The fourth objective is to learn applications of information technology that contribute to the common good.

These four objectives not only show that this program really teaches valuable information to the students,but also demonstrate that this minor can be complementary to any major.
