How to "Follow"

To be honest, I sometimes still find it amazing these days that I have become somewhat a beginner football fan after FIFA World Cup 2022, but there are reasons anyway. In my third year of high school, I made up mind my to explore more things for my own and it was pretty cool to follow the greatest sports in this world. What's more, Deutscher Fußball Bund (DFB) underwent another fiasco in this World Cup, which aroused my interest to know more.

Some may ask "why football" or "why DFB". Still, some other reasons underlay these choices. I got interested in drug chemistry at quite a young age, with many around me talking about Bayer the great drug company and making me interested in Germany. As a part of my high-school life, I often play football as the goalkeeper in PE class with my friends. When I prefered to stay around the goal and often failed one-on-one defense, my friend recommanded me Manuel Neuer as an extraordinary example of "being more active", therefore opened my gate to be a fan to follow DFB and now FC Bayern München.

It's always hard to follow something, especially here for Neuer's serious injury. Thing went worse that Bayern also stuck in low tide for quite a long time after the World Cup. But I still choose to follow, since ups and downs are mostly went hand-in-hand: Yann Sommer is new to Bayern and may not as stable as Neuer for the goal kick, but we see how defenders interact with the goalkeeper then; In some cases the attackers are not in their zone for an excellent finish, but we see how assumed defenders seize the opportunities for stunning goals then; sad for Julian Nagelsmann's receiving his bad news when skiing (skiing again!), we are expecting Thomas Tuchel for the change he will bring then… (The Dutch impressed me a lot, lol)

Sometimes there is no corresponding positive side in sight, like the regret on field of DFB-Pokal. With the "Old Bro" Matthijs de Ligt having kept his hands behind, young Jamal Musiala unintentionally raised his and suffered a last-minute penalty. It was an unexpected blow for us, but we still choose to look to the future and expected a Musiala grows out of this experience. We follow, not for only good moments, not even for piles of fact; We follow to be there together, to experience together, and sometimes to share "pure sadness" together.

Of course we do not like sadness. Nobody likes sadness, but doubtlessly it is always part of us. We keep those sadness to remember our mistakes; we keep those sadness to encourage our redemptions. We follow all of these as the so-called "past", and for the future.

Anyway, good luck for the "Hammer-Spiel"
