I was born in a mountainous village in the late 1980s. The education we have received since childhood is cramming education for exams. All learning is to get high scores in exams, such as key middle schools, key high schools and key universities.
However, some of us have become the "rubbish" of this kind of education. After graduating from junior high school and junior high school, we throw away all our books, notes and dictionaries. We hate reading very much!
My first pot of gold was made by these people. I sold the books, notes and dictionaries they had thrown away, and made a fortune of fifty dollars! With this first bucket of gold, I invited my friends to dine out and celebrated the successful completion of the high school entrance examination. Some people still have 50 yuan left for a meal.
During the period of reading are doing knowledge memory, remember fast, forget fast, is to remember the test, the test will forget, I am no exception.
Now I'm revisiting my education journey along the way. Looking back at the knowledge, ideas, theories that you've learned, a lot of them are actually very useful, very practical for your life and work. Some small stories in Chinese textbooks contain the truth of life, some remarks in English textbooks and so on.
For example, "a good memory is not as good as writing" this sentence all the people who have gone to school should have heard, but graduated, this sentence will disappear like!
Assuming that we have been educated since childhood is not exam-oriented education, knowledge are doing physical memory, I believe that a lot of people now the fate will be better than now, but also can say some practical principles, and in many things can be implemented in place these principles. Such as integrity, punctuality, kindness, helpfulness, the body is the capital of the revolution and so on. Unfortunately, exam-oriented education has trained us to be honest, punctual, kind, keep fit and so on. Helping others is also far away from us. We are all worried about what will happen to others' racketeer.
Recall my attitude in such an educational environment, fortunately, there is a little different, although not top grades, also failed to enter a good university. But I graduated from middle school and high school without throwing away all the books like those students did. After graduating from middle school and high school, I sorted out all the important textbooks and books one by one and moved them back to my home for collection. I also made a list and attached it. A few years ago, I took these books out to bask in the sun during the Spring Festival to prevent them from being damaged by dampness. Although I can't remember how much knowledge is in these textbooks, I still cherish the books. For example, punctuality is a concept in my physical memory, so I have been urging myself to be punctual every day. I have never been late for work in the past year, and I can't believe it.
Looking back at this sentence "reading can change the fate", many people do not really understand what is the concept of "reading", think that the graduation of reading this thing is not related to their own. It is a pity that as life is still so long, opportunities to change one's fate are still available, but they are wasted.
I often remind myself: exercise more, read more, think more, practice more.
