I try four acadamic researchs in thursday afternoon:

microsoft:
1.the graph about publication and citation is very elegant.
2.It provides some useful information about top authors, top conferece, top publications. It provides a good introduction to freshman.
3.The feature of co-author path and co-author graph is interesting.

google:

The result is ranked by citation. It is easy to find paper, survey or something else. It also provides the link to download. But it doesn't provide the information about co-authors and so on.

arnetminer:
1.It provies many useful features such as the email address of people.
2.My feeling is that the mark of advisor,advisee,co-author is wrong sometimes.
3.Maybe it is not good at some fields such as theoretic computer science. For example, I try his course research, it doesn't find the information I want. But google's results are more accurate.

biomedexperts:

It works like a bbs that people should register and provide information about himself. It provides some expert in some areas through the information you provide. There are many people in life science and Bio-informatics use this academic research, but few people in computer science use it.

Supplementation:

Microsoft provides a useful feature named upcoming call for papers. It can provide a list of conferences or journals that call for paper in this month. It is very useful feature. I think it is a very good feature that an academic research can tell us the newest information about some conferences such as accepted paper and deadline.
