Development Tools

Byobu (Screen)
% yum –enablerepo=epel-testing install byobu
openjdk
for java
% yum install java-1.6.0-openjdk
for javac
% yum install java-1.6.0-openjdk-devel
maven
go to Maven Site to download the latest tar ball:
% curl -O http://ftp.mirror.tw/pub/apache/maven/maven-3/3.0.4/binaries/apache-maven-3.0.4-bin.tar.gz % cd /usr/local; tar zxf /path/to/apache-maven-3.0.4-bin.tar.gz % ln -s apache-maven-3.0.4 maven
add following to /etc/bashrc
export M3_HOME=/usr/local/maven export PATH=${M3_HOME}/bin:${PATH}
sbt , for Scala
% rpm -Uvh http://rpm.typesafe.com/typesafe-repo-2.0.0-1.noarch.rpm
Optional:
if no color in usr@host $
append below code to ~/.bashrc
