SQL Server-backup failed due to files is being used by other process

Error messages as below:

BackupDiskFile::CreateMedia: Backup device F:\server\instance\Backups\Full\database\DB_full.bak failed to create. Operating system error 32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.). Source: MSSQLSQLFF15 EventID: 18204 time: 2017-07-28 03:15:00

 

Root cause:

some application process is using the backup files which caused the backup command failed to execute

 

Action taken:

we tried to modify the file's name but failed,then we can see the specify process which is using this files,then go to task manager to end the process tree,after that reexecute the backup job,it runs fine at the next retry
