Thinking in English is no easy...
Today i go on studying discrete mathematics with the book i bought the day before yesterday. With few hours' work, i finally made my first step in the chapter 1. Before this i was still sunk in the preface of the book. Yes, the preface is certainly useful, but the true first step of learning the subject can only be made when i move to the content, in which i learn the things i was to learn.
The first chapter is titled "The Foundations: Logic and Proof, Sets, and Functions". In the first of the chapter, the author make an introduction telling what the concepts in the title are. After the brief introduction, the author starts to detail the "Logic", which i spend almost a whole day to understand. I don't know whether it is because of the unfamiliar language that made my brain slow. However, i know i have overcome it. As it is said in a saying in Chinese, everything starts will difficulty. Now I understand this say better. Instead of making me sad, the saying, to me, is considered as an encouragement for i think optimistically that i will one day overcome the difficulty i encounter today, that is, the difficulty won't exist for too long time. Such is my opinion to the difficulty.
I've ever heard that the goal to a English learner should be obtaining the ablility of thinking in English. And now, I think I know it better. Thinking in English will make me understand the thinking in the foreign language easily and not waste too much in translating. I am going to make full use of the chances in my living and studying to pratice thinking in English. So today's blog in English is writtern. Ahha, what a crazy thing i am doing now. Wuhuhu...
