Add spacing between Chinese and English characters
To make the typesetting of mixed Chinese and English characters more elegant and legible, it is necessary to add an additional spacing between them as a convention. When I’m editing Emacs Org or LaTeX files, I will manually add a white space to achieve this effect. When I’m writing articles in LibreOffice, it is already supported and controlled by the Asian typography part in paragraph style configuration. A simple enabling of the option “Apply spacing between Asian and non-Asian text” will do the work, which is usually the default setting.
