L=total no. of layers in network

L=神经网络的总层数

sl = no. of units (not counting bias unit) in layer l

sl = 第l层的神经元的个数(不包含bias unit)


Binary classification                          Multi-class classification (K classes)

y = 0 or 1                                          y ∈RK  E.g [1 0 0 0], [0 1 0 0]

1 output unit                                     k output units
