我常用的一个模板：

Dear xxx,

I submitted a manuscript (ID: [paper ID]) entitled "[paper title]" to your journal on [submission date]. Several days later, the status changed to 'under review'. However, the status has remained unchanged ever since. As it has been one and a half months since my submission, I am wondering if the status is not getting updated due to a technical error. It would be great if you could let me know when I can expect the next status change. Thank you very much.

Dear Dr./ Mr./Ms. [Editor's Name],

I have submitted my manuscript titled [insert manuscript title] to your journal on January 10, 2017 and the status has remained "Editor assigned" since then. Since it has been two months since my submission, I was wondering if the status is not getting updated due to a techincal error. It would be great if you could let me know when I can expect the next status change.

I have submitted my revised manuscript titled XXXX [manuscript id: xxxx] to your journal via the online submission system on dd/mm/yyyy [date of submission]. Two days later, the status changed to ‘with editor.’ However, the status has remained unchanged ever since.

I would be grateful if you could let me know whether there has been any further progress on my submission.
