About class time

College class time is used primarily to introduce content that is to be learned and to discuss ideas. Instractors expect I to learn the material and to be prepared to discuss it in class. When ,where ,and how I learn are my decisions.

 

Focus on concepts

Facing an endless amount of facts,rules,definitions,and principles, I should go beyond facts to analysis: to see the larger,more importtant concepts.Keep these questons in mind as I read and study: Why do I need to know this information? Why is it quiet helpful? What principle does it illustrate? How can I use this information?

 

Focus on ideas,not right answers

For many questions,there is no one right answer.I are expected to think and to privide a reasoned,logical,consistent response using information acquired through my reading and studying.

 

Evaluate new ideas

Through college I continually meet with new ideas. Try to avoid accepting or refusing a new idea until I have really considered it.
