1.下载VLC源码包并解压
VLC的源码包在VLC的官网有，可以直接下载。也可以使用git来clone一个。

下载和解压
xz压缩的档案包使用J参数来解压

2.配置编译环境
下面说的东西很多，嫌麻烦的可以先安装依赖包，能够少很多问题。

2.1使用configure脚本来配置

看到上面的错误提示了吧，lua没有发现。Lua是需要一些接口（RC，TELNET，HTTP）以及许多其他的自定义脚本.可以使用--disable-lua来忽略这个错误。
我的电脑上确实没有安装lua，我也不打算忽略这个错误。

请尝试：sudo apt-get install <选定的软件包>
2.2安装lua开发环境，再重新./configure
先安装一个lua5.2
o@o-pc:~/work/vlc/vlc-2.2.0$ sudo apt-get install lua5.2
仅仅安装这个lua是不行的，这个lua5.2只是一个脚本解释器而已。
去lua官网下载一个lua的源码包。http://www.lua.org/ftp/lua-5.2.4.tar.gz
下载之后再编译lua。编译的时候需要指定平台。

编译的时候提示错误，找不到头文件readline/readline.h，那么去下载一个。

解压后在make编译安装readline
./configure指定了其安装的目录，其实不指定目录更好。

编译安装readline库。修改lua的src/Makefile
如果前面配置编译readline的时候不指定目录，就不需要修改了。所以前面说不指定目录更好。
注意：这里修改的Makefile文件的位置，是src目录下的Makefile。

修改MYCFLAGS和MYLDFLAGS两个变量的值(应该是22,23行)。
MYLDFLAGS= -L/usr/local/readline/lib```
**再次`make linux`
可以看到找不到头文件的错误已经没有了，但是有了新的错误。
这个错误是因为不能链接上动态库的原因。

编译安装ncurses库，然后修改src/Makefile
现在解决这个错误。先得知道这个错误的原因。原因是因为readline这个库，还依赖于ncurses这个库。于是我们还需要去下载这个｀ncurses｀库。

这次我们.configure的时候没有指定安装路径，使用默认的配置。

我们还得修改src/Makefile文件
linux编译target=linux，在SYSLIBS变量中追加-lncurses选项即可。如下(应该是105,106行)：

上述操作完成后，再次make linux就没问题了。
重新编译安装lua

2.3 安装libmad库，重新./configure
再次./configure后又报错了，这次的错误原因是没有发现libmad库。它还提供了一个地址给我们，那么就去这个地址看看。

在 http://www.underbit.com/products/mad/ 这个页面，可以找到一个ftp的下载站点 ftp://ftp.mars.org/pub/mpeg/ 那就从这里开始吧。
下载／配置／编译／安装

在make的时候报错了。错误的原因是gcc没有选项-fforce-mem。原因是因为当前的gcc版本太高了，就不提供这个选项了。我们修改Makefile来适应当前的gcc编译器。
打开Makefile文件
找到关键的一行(应该是129)CFLAGS = -Wall -g -O -fforce-mem -fforce-addr -fthread-jumps -fcse-follow-jumps -fcse-skip-blocks -fexpensive-optimizations -fregmove -fschedule-insns2 将-fforce-mem删除即可。
重新make编译安装

2.4 忽略avcodec/swscale/liba52
经过上面的步骤，我们再./configure的时候，又会报错

这次是没有检查到ＡＶＣＯＤＥＣ，我们这次就不再去下载编译它了。如果需要，就下载ffmpeg编译安装就是。
如果指示忽略掉avcodec之后还会报错，还需要忽略两个。

2.5 解决pkg-config问题
又报错了，这个从的错误是这个pkg-config无法找到或者太旧。确保它
在PATH或者设置PKG_CONFIG环境变量完整。
安装pkg-config和autoconf
要解决它，先安装一下pkg-config和autoconf。然后运行一下bootstrap脚本。

还有错误，要安装libtool

安装之后再次./bootstrap，可以看到成功了。

2.6 解决 XCB 包问题
然后在./configure可以看到，还有错误。这次的错误是xcb包的问题。
看错误输出
包装要求（XCB>=1.6）没有得到满足：没有发现包'XCB'
试想，如果你调整PKG_CONFIG_PATH环境变量，安装的软件在一个非标准的前缀。

安装libxcb库
那么我们还是需要下载安装libxcb库

先编译安装xcb-proto，再去配置linxcb编译环境的时候，这时候还会报错

然后添加环境变量

回到 vlc-2.2.0 目录，再次./configure ...，又报错了

这次是找不到alsa包，那么还是去安装一个吧。

我们看到它提示会额外安装libasound2-dev，其实我们这里需要的就是这个。
2.8 lingcrypt 问题
之前安装了libalsa-ocaml-dev之后，再次configure还有错误，没关系，继续解决。

3. make编译安装
make的过程会又大量的 warning ，这是正常的，不用管它。但是有错误必须解决

3.1解决lua共享库文件重定位问题
这里出现的错误提示:创建共享目标时，对'luaO_nilobject_文件的重定位R_X86_64_32不能使用;重新编译，使用-fPIC选项。
-fPIC 作用于编译阶段，告诉编译器产生与位置无关代码(Position-Independent Code)，则产生的代码中，没有绝对地址，全部使用相对地址，故而代码可以被加载器加载到内存的任意位置，都可以正确的执行。这正是共享库所要求的，共享库被加载时，在内存的位置不是固定的。
那么我们还是需要去修改Makefile文件了，不过不是vlc的Makefile文件，而是lua的。
进入lua-5.2.4目录，然后修改src目录下的Makefile。
o@o-pc:~/work/lua/lua-5.2.4$ vi src/Makefile
修改MYCFLAGS变量的值(应该是22行)，为其加上-fPIC选项。
MYCFLAGS= -I/usr/loacl/readline/include -fPIC
修改完成之后重新make编译安装。
回到vlc-2.2.0目录，重新make，这次就成功了。

3.2运行一下编译后的程序
处理 core *** error错误
出现了三个错误，是因为之前./configure配置的时候，我们忽略了一些警告。可以安装libxml2-dev，libvlc-dev等库，然后重新./configure后make

安装libxml2-dev之后重新./configure再make后去运行，少了一个错误了。剩下的两个错误也可以通过这个办法解决。(安装libmodplug-dev,libdvbpsi-dev库会更好，core libvlc error错误可以安装libvlc-dev库，这个库我们已经编译了)

处理解码支持问题
已经提示我们输入命令行参数去初始化接口了
可以尝试一下添加一个视频文件到播放列表，可以看到这次是解码出错了，因为h264编码不支持。继续解决。

安装libavcodec-dev和libavformat-dev库，然后重新./configure，这次没有添加--disable-avcodec等选项。顺便把libswscale-dev和liba52这两个库。

处理 vcodec_free_context 函数隐式声明问题
make的时候有一处错误：avparser.c:108:9: error:implicit declaration offunction ‘avcodec_free_context’[-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]
解决方法是：打开/vlc-2.2.0/modules/packetizer/Makefile文件，把里面的-Werror-implicit-function-declaration删除掉可。
然后重现编译就通过了。
