现在Intel把driver也给open了
这下大家可以好好看一下瓶颈在哪
天知道Intel那2000+人的Graphics的team
为省成本IGP裁掉了hardware vs
单支持hardware ps
而且driver连个soft vs都懒得写
有点感觉是在PC上打不过人家
跑Linux上想独大
大家听过IBM和食人族的故事吧
我想这也是Intel这一个暗夜精灵分支现状的原因
除非是Intel故意深藏不露
或者是刻意回避反垄断法
Intel has released open source 3D graphics to give Linux full-fledged support for accelerated OpenGL on the newest generation Intel 965 Express chipset graphics architecture which will be used in the Intel’s new Core 2 Duo “Conroe” processor, being released next week. The 965 Express family includes support for programmable vertex, geometry, and fragment shaders. By open sourcing the drivers for this new technology, Intel enables the open source community to experiment, develop, and contribute to the continuing advancement of open source 3D graphics.
