一、什么是并列句

1. 什么是并列句：因为逗号不能连接两个并列的句子，因此用连词连接这两个并列的句子。

   1. 注：连词不可以连接主从句。
   2. 1：我喜欢你，但是你却喜欢那条狗：I love you but you love that dog. / Although I love you, you love that dog.
   3. 2：虽然你没有她那么的积极主动，但是我仍能感受到你对我们班的热情：Although you are not as aggressive as her, I still feel your passion in our class. / Your are not as aggressive as her, but I still feel your passion in our class.

二、常见的并列连词

1. 连词和其他逻辑关系词的区别：连词前有无逗号均可，其他逻辑关系词前面一定是句号，或是加上连词and（and无意义）。

   1. 3：虽然她的爱情已经逝去，但是她依然记得过去：Romance has evaporated, but she still keeps the past in mind. / Romance has evaporated. By contrast she still keeps the past in mind. / Romance has evaporated, and by contrast she still keeps the past in mind.

2.1 连词

平行关系：and, not only... but also...

转折关系：but, while, yet, whereas

选择关系：or

因果关系：for, so

顺承关系：then

2.2 副词

平行关系：similarly, equally, likewise, at the same time, in the meanwhile

转折关系：however, nevertheless, nonetheless, on the contrary, in contrary, unexpectedly, unfortunately, conversely, by contrast

选择关系：alternatively

因果关系：therefore, thus, consequently

顺承关系：besides, in addition, additionally

三、并列句的应用

3.1 写作

1. 用于描述图画或图表作文

   1. 4：宠物不仅会养伤其他人，尤其容易咬伤我们的邻居，同时他也可能会是我们的生活环境变得更差：Pets not only can bite others especially our neighbors or strangers but also usually make our living environment rather nasty.
   2. 5：孝敬父母不仅仅是中国的传统美德，同时他也是子女的义务：Respecting parents not only keeps a Chinese traditional virtue but also proves the duty of the offspring.
   3. 6：文化交流不仅会扩大市民的眼界，同时也会提高国家经济的发展：Cultural exchange can not only help numerous citizens widen their horizons but also prompt she development of the economy of a nation.
   4. 注：写作中只要上下文有逻辑关系，就必须得使用逻辑关系词

1. 7：他不但英语讲得漂亮而且日语说得也很地道：She not only speaks English smoothly but speak Japanese well.
