Creating a server for WebSphere Application Server
Create an application server that can be used as a template for cluster nodes.
Procedure
- Open a browser window and go to the Integrated Solutions Console at https://clmdm.example.org:9043/ibm/console, where clmdm.example.org is the host name of the server that hosts the deployment manager and 9043 is the administrative console secure port. Log on by using the user name and password that you created when you created the deployment manager profile. For more details, see Creating the deployment manager profile.
- Click
- Click New.
- On the "Select a node" page, select an application node, clmnode02. Be careful not to select a proxy node. Enter a server name, such as CLM. Click Next.
- Select the default template, and then click Next.
- If this server is to be the only application server on the selected node, clear the Generate Unique Ports check box. Click Next.
- On the "Confirm new server" page, click Finish, and then save directly to the master configuration.
- Select the new application server and click Start.
What to do next
- Creating virtual hosts
For an application server to be able to route requests through ports on the installed host, a virtual host entry must exist for the ports. - Testing the instance of WebSphere Application Server
To test the application server, you must install the default application, which ships with IBM® WebSphere® Application Server. - refer to :https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSYMRC_4.0.4/com.ibm.jazz.install.doc/topics/t_deploy_cluster_create_was.html
