As we all know, the Dragon Boat Festival holds profound historical and cultural significance. The Dragon Boat Festival was originally a summer festival to get rid of plague, and later it was used as a festival in memory of Qu Yuan. Dragon boat racing symbolizes unity and perseverance; eating Zongzi represents harmony and prosperity; drink Realgar wine symbolizes health and safety; hang calamus represents protection and anticipation.
When it comes to some memorable moments from Dragon Boat Festival, I recall an unforgettable experience. That was when I was in high school. My school didn't have a holiday for Dragon Boat Festival for some reason, so I haven't been home in a long time. Missing home very much, I called my family one day and I accidentally said that I missed the rice dumplings at home. The next day, my mom called me to get the rice dumplings. Shocked and moved, I eventually knew that as soon as they heard I missed it, my grandma got up at five o 'clock to make zongzi, and my mother brought it to me this afternoon. I was moved that they kept my accidental remarks in mind. My family was the best family in the world!
I celebrated the Dragon Boat Festival at home this year. I have bought tickets in advance and I just want to accompany my family.
I made zongzi with my family this Dragon Boat Festival. We did preparation work together, including preparing glutinous rice, bamboo leaves and pork. Then we sat together to make zongzi, wrapping glutinous rice and pork in the bamboo leaves, tying them tight with strings. The process of making zongzi brings my family together. Not only did it strengthen cooperation and communication among family members, but it also bridges the distance between us.
