This chapter contains information about the Oracle OneCommand set of scripts and tools, which are used to perform the initial configuration of Exalogic machine (EL X2-2).
6.1 Guidelines
The following are the guidelines for using Oracle OneCommand:
-
Verify the default factory configuration of your Exalogic machine before running Oracle OneCommand.
-
Oracle OneCommand must run on a Windows operating system using Excel (minimum version 2003).
-
If you open the Exalogic Configurator spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel 2003, you must enter data in the time zone field manually. When running on a newer version, such as 2007, the timezone field in the spreadsheet is populated with a list. Without this fix, an unhandled error is displayed.
-
The directory that the spreadsheet generates files into includes the customer name in the path. To generate a separate set of configurations, you must change the customer name slightly, or it may overwrite the files.
-
You can save copies of the spreadsheet with data already filled out. You can re-import the saved values in future, if necessary.
