How to add Chinese support to an English only BB emulator
Before start , you must have:
- An emulator already supports Chinese (can be any model).
- BlackBerry Desktop Manager (can get from official site)
- A bat file attached (add “.bat” by yourself).
- Path of your JDE"bin must in your system variable ‘PATH’.
Let’s get start:
Step 1: Start your BlackBerry Desktop Manager and open the USB connection at connection settings.
Step 2: Start the emulator you want to add Chinese support, set Simulator - > USB Cable Connected to selected.
Step 3: Copy the bat file to the folder ‘/Java’ under the Emulator directory which supports the Chinese.
Step 4: Run the bat file and wait.
Now you can change the language to Chinese in the target Emulator’s Settings.
Warning : At step 3 , jar files of which names end with “zh” or “cn” listed in the bat file better exist in that ‘"Java’ folder, otherwise, emulator may be wrong at startup.
