overlook、neglect、ignore和omit的区别

overlook 暗示这种忽略是无意，不小心的，自身都不期望发生的。比如一个人做数学运算习题时，没看到小数点：I overlooked the decimal point.

neglect 暗示不应该忽略，但忽略了，并且会造成不好的结果。比如你工作太忙忘记遛狗：Xiao Liu has been so busy this week that she neglected to walk her dog yesterday.

ignore 暗示忽略是故意的。比如你雇人遛狗，但是他故意消极怠工：He keeps ignoring your dog whenever he wants to play

omit 比较正式。比如她的任务是确保这本书出版前没有遗漏：She makes sure nothing is omitted from the script before the book gets published.
