Software Engineer II/III/IV - Database Engineer

Description

International Game Technology (NYSE:IGT) is the world leader in casino games, technology, and systems. We are currently experiencing growth and are looking for Database Engineers to help develop a cutting edge CRM application based on Microsoft technology. These positions are located in beautiful Las Vegas within our Mariposa group, a support and client integration unit.    This position is a Database Engineer role, with an emphasis on SQL Server 2005 internals and high volume data warehouse and OLAP cubes design.  The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of Enterprise level database design, TSQL, SQL Server internals, database denormalization, and possess a background providing solutions to design problems and production performance issues.   Core responsibilities include writing T-SQL code, stored procedures, and DTS/SSIS packages to query data & modify objects, and transforming data in/out SQL Server 2005.  The ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and come up with solutions, and contribute to architectural changes to our data warehouse. Must be able to provide production support for database-related activities, such as ad-hoc queries to meet customer needs, debugging and patching production code, and analyzing the performance of production databases and optimize the code to improve performance, this includes the ability to write, tune, and modify stored procedures.   Must be able to use SQL Server Management Studio and Business Intelligence Development Studio. Should also be able to assist the development team with other tasks as required to insure project completion.   Requirements: At least 5-8 years of hands-on database development using any SQL language in engineering solutions BSCS or equivalent required.  1+ years using SQL tools:  Server Management Studio and Business Intelligence Development Studio 1+ years experience in using DTS or SSIS. 2+ years experience in DBA tasks, with complete database system setup, including Server OS & DB configuration, SAN setup & configurations, filegroup setup, DB Backup/Recovery. Can write T-SQL independently query data and modify objects. Understands principles of Extract Load and Transform (ETL) processes and database physical and logic design Good problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot well Reverse engineering of data flows Reconciliation of data between Source and Target database (finding data differences) Root cause analysis Must be able to communicate clearly with management, peers, and clients regarding problems, changes, and milestones.  Microsoft Analysis Services 2005, MS Reporting Services, MS Visual Studio Team System, and Casino Systems Knowledge a plus.    有感兴趣的朋友可以发简历到spring.flower_060528@yahoo.com.cn。
