象我们中文中会说傻X, 我Kao 一样, 英语中有时也会有些脏话不方便在公众场合出出口, 因此也有些替代品:
dang: damn. 如 Dang, I just missed the bus. 有时候也作darn, 如Darn it.
shoot: 表示shit. 这句还挺常用的. Desperate Housewives 这一季的第七集, Katherine 就说了这一句. 我们办公室就经常能听到.
holy cow: holy shit, holy crap, 表示不可思议
heck: 同hell, 如What the heck is he doing? 相当于What the hell 或者What the fuck.
What the ...: 有时候仅仅为了表达语气, 会省去最后一个词, 就说What the ..., 或者What the f
另外shit 这个词在不同情况会表达不同的意思, the shit 意思是很棒, great. 单独的shit表示很差:
- Man, this weed is the shit! I can barely feel my feet!
- Man, this weed is shit. It tastes like Oregano.
