[tomcat] Cannot create a server using the selected type

今天在eclipse中新建个server(tomcat5),但Cannot create a  server using the selected type 这句话出现在窗口上面,换了myeclipse同样如此,上网看了个博客,解决了。处理办法如下:

1.退出 eclipse

2.到[工程目录下]/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.runtime/.settings

3.把org.eclipse.wst.server.core.prefs和 org.eclipse.jst.server.tomcat.core.prefs这两个文件去掉

4.重启eclipse

处理完毕。
