jdk8 eclipse luna market crashed

THAT WORKS! Eclipse Luna starts normally when I first do the suggested:

   export SWT_GTK3=0

note: 安装最新的subclipse将导致m2e connector for svn装不上，最好是用18那个。
等等，你要是卸载了最新版打算安装旧版可能达不到目的，任何安装都会失败，估计是安装时计算依赖关系发现错误，这是你重新安装最新版，就好了。

As per jonesw's link http://stackoverflow.com/a/14896322/621481 all you need to do is make sure you have unchecked 'Contact all update sites during install to find required software' from the eclipse install software screen.
