Indeed,language is vital to thinking itself.

确实(网上翻译为：事实上)，对语言本身的理解也是至关重要的。

Contrary to popular belief,language does not simply mirror reality but also helps to create our sense of reality by giving meaning to events.

与大众的观点不同的是，语言不仅仅简单的反映现实，它同时通过富裕事件意义来帮助我们感受现实。

As a speaker ,you should be aware of the tools of words and know how to use language accurately,clearly,vividly,and appropriately.（适当的）

作为演讲者，你应该注意作为 工具的词语，知道如何准确，清晰，生动，和恰当地使用语言。（要懂得如何做到用词。。。。修饰成分放在后面，与英语原文保持一致。）

一位演讲者使用语言准确的重要性就像会计使用数字准确的重要性一样。（演讲者准确使用语言和会计准确使用数字是一样重要的）（翻译的删减和语序调整要适当。）

Never use a word unless you are sure of its meaning.

永远不要使用一个你不确定他的意思的单词。

If you are not sure,look up the word in a dictionary.

如果你不确定单词的意思，应该去查字典。

As you prepare your speeches ,ask yourself constantly,"What do I really want to say?What do I really mean?"Choose words that are precise and accurate.

在准备你的演讲时，反复问你自己“我到底要说什么？我真正要表达的是什么？”选择单词力求准确。
