Every Day Is Thanksgiving Day

 

Ladies and Gentlemen:

 

        I’m so glad to stand here. Well, again the annual Thanksgiving Day is coming. We are supposed to express our gratitude to others on Thanksgiving Day. However, we should feel gratitude every day. 

“God gave you a fit of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one

to say “Thank you?” This thought provoking saying by William Arthur Ward should make us think about gratitude and whether we express it or not.

Actually, I have a lot of people to appreciate. Firstly, I want

to thank my parents who gave me life and make my love growing. With the silent inclusive love to my self-willed, with tolerance towards my rebel, no matter when, no matter where you always looked forward to trace my footsteps. I hope in the rest of my life I can requite you, make you live happier. Secondly, I want to say thanks to my teacher and my friend! You so selflessly walked into my life. I am grateful for any help you give to me. Without you, my life won’t be that colorful and interesting. At last, I want to thank anyone and anything comes into my life. They make me grow up, experience ups and downs of life, teach me how to fight against setbacks and hard times, make me know the significance of life.

       Last night, I have a bad dream, maybe a good dream. God told me he wanted to take me away. I asked why. He said: “son, you’re a good person; you should go to the heaven”. Wow, this really scared of me. I said, “father, I know I’m a good guy, but I’m not that good enough. So hope you can give me more time, I can become better.” Of course, God is really a good God. He said:” Okay, I’m glad to hear that. I wait you.” So I’m still alive today as you seen. Thanks God. As saying goes” Good people get good rewards”.

God has two dwellings, one in heaven, and the other in a meek and

thankful heart. Be grateful to others is a way to show your love. In our daily life, we often receive help from our parents, friends, colleagues and strangers. Perhaps it is a little thing, pick up the pen you drop, lift a heavy box for you or offer you a seat in the bus. We should be thankful to them for whatever they have done. The more love you give, the more love you receive.
