Navigation Profiles

Navigation Profile is a profile which gives option of calling several general transactions in MD04 (Stock requirements list) Screen. It enables us to navigate faster and more flexibly between transactions.

 For each profile, you can define:

• A record of general transaction calls

• A record of specific transaction calls for each MRP element required

Each user can assign a navigation profile in the respective list, under the menu path Environment -Navigation Profile-Assign or under Settings. The system then offers transactions suitable for the user's work, without the user having to define the jumps.
After saving, the general transaction calls appear under the menu path Environment --> Navigation profile, and in the application toolbar. The transaction calls per MRP element appear in the application toolbar for the detail dialog box.
In detail, you define:

• The number of the transaction call

• If applicable, the indicator for the MRP element (only for transaction calls per MRP element)

• The transaction code

• If applicable, the icons

• The icon text, menu text, information text

• The parameters, which enable you to skip the initial screen of the transaction

• The conditions, which must be given, for the transaction call to be offered (only for general transaction calls)

• The application component: operational and/or long-term planning

The number of transaction calls possible is not limited. However, in the MRP list and the stock/requirements list, only the following are displayed:

• The first five general transaction calls that are valid in the given context,

• The first two transaction calls per MRP element that are valid in the given context.

 It's a general MD04 screen without any navigation profile 

 

 

Some General transactions can be called in MD04 screen using navigation profile. Navigation profile can be customized to have any transaction in screen

 

 Assign the Navigation Profile





  After assigning the navigation profile you can see the changes in MD04 screen 
 

 
 
 
 
 

You can see some transactions like MD03, MD21, MC88, MCBE etc.If you click on that it will take you to these transactions.

If you click on Single-Item,single level planning,it will take you to MD03 screen to run MRP for that material

You can observe the list of T codes defined under the navigation profile SAP0000000.If you want to have own transaction code say MMBE to see the stock.

Click on new entries and enter the details. Save

 You can define for each MRP element one transaction code as seen below
