各种LCD面版技术:
液晶面板中主要分TN+film型和各种广角面板,广角面板主要包括IPS,MVA,PVA三种类型
■TN+film
  TN+film液晶面板主要应用于入门级和中端产品,它基于早期可视角度很小的TN技术(视角最大90度),但在面板上增加了一层转向膜,将可视角度提高到了140度左右,成为了一种视角较广的产品,所以严格的说,TN+film也算是一种广角技术。

TN+Film不是最佳的广视角解决方案,但它是最简单的方法并且良率极高,另外TN+film的技术是公开的,制造商不用负担高昂的授权和研发费用即可开工生产,因此TN+film在成本上占据了巨大的优势。
  既然TN+film是一种广角技术,为啥我们还要将它窄视角呢?原因在于,TN+film和一下介绍的产品相比,其视角仍然偏低。由于TN类液晶面板基本不会用做显示产品(以前有),因此TN+film就被当成一种窄视角产品了。
  从色彩角度上看,TN+film实际所能产生的色彩十分有限,最大色彩数只能达到16.2M标准。
目前三星所开发的B-TN型LCD面板在TN上做了很大的改进,比如说能够显示16.7M色,但是有情报说TN型的LCD本身就不能显示16.7M色,B-TN之所以能够显示16.7M是通过抖动算法达成的,其色彩准确度还是不能比地上下面几种广角面板
■MVA
  MVA是较早投入应用的广视角液晶面板,由日本富士通公司开发。它的全称为(Multi-domainVerticalAlignment),是一种多象限垂直配向技术。MVA是利用突出物使液晶静止时并非传统的直立式,而是偏向某一个角度静止;当施加电压让液晶分子改变成水平以让背光通过则更为快速,这样便可以大幅度缩短显示时间,也因为突出物改变液晶分子配向,让视野角度更为宽广。MVA最早是作为一种快速响应面板来进行宣传的,因为当时普通液晶显示器的响应时间高达50ms以上,而MVA却依靠优势能做到25ms左右,这是液晶显示器历史上的一大进步。

由于奉行授权政策,目前我国台湾省的奇美电子(奇晶光电)、友达光电等面板企业均采用了这项面板技术。由于得到广泛台系面板厂商得支持,市场中采用这类面板的显示器和液晶电视数量不少,同时由于生产厂家多,产量大,所以价格较为便宜。
  经过技术改进的MVA被称为之P-MVA,这种面板在保留MVA优点的同时,可以搭配各种增压芯片达到较高的响应时间。
目前MVA面板是采用得最广泛的广角LCD面板
■PVA
  PVA则是三星独家推出的一种面板类型,它在富士通MVA面板的基础上有了进一步的发展和提高,是一种图像垂直调整技术,该技术直接改变液晶单元结构,让显示效能大幅提升可以获得优于MVA的亮度输出和对比度,早期的PVA响应时间和MVA一样都是25ms。去年三星在PVA基础上又延出改进型S- PVA,可视角度可达170度,配合加压芯片,S-PVA的响应时间已经提高到灰阶水平,而对比度超过700:1。
  由于未对外授权,S-PVA和PVA只有三星自己生产,不过凭借着三星强大的面板产能,S-PVA在市场中占据了不少份额。
■S-IPS
  IPS是日本日立公司开发的液晶技术,它也是目前主要的一种液晶面板类型。IPS通过液晶分子平面切换的方式来改善视角,利用空间厚度、摩擦强度并有效利用横向电场驱动的改变让液晶分子做最大的平面旋转角度来增加视角;在制造上不须额外加补偿膜,显示视觉上对比也很高。在视角的提升上可达到160度,响应时间缩短至40ms以内。所以IPS型液晶面板具有可视角度大、颜色细腻等优点,看上去比较通透,不过响应时间较慢和对比度较难提高也是这类型面板一个比较明显的缺点。

  早期的IPS已经实现了较好的可视角度,而S-IPS则为第二代IPS技术,它又引入了一些新的技术,以改善IPS模式在某些特定角度的灰阶逆转现象。目前世界上最大的液晶制造商LG-飞利浦的主打技术就是IPS和S-IPS,因此S-IPS被广泛应用于液晶电视等领域,而液晶显示器利润较低,所以很少采用S-IPS。
  总的来说,TN+film的优势在于便宜,至于性能则没有后三种来得好。广角面板虽然性能好,但技术开发费用昂贵,同时生产良品率较低,要想在成本上赶超TN+film比较困难。
■Sharp(夏普)的ASV
Sharp 公司采用ASV(Advanced Super-V)技术,改进了TFT显示屏的响应速度和可视角。Sharp将ASV描述为一个排列晶状物质的新方法,而此晶状物质显示起来就象夹在两片薄薄玻璃中的三明治。这其中有几项改进,最明显的改进之一就是视觉角度。现在的显示最多让用户可以从垂直140度水平 110度的角度看清显示内容,而ASV将这一角度提高到170度。 另外,现在决大多数显示器的默认状态为打开显示器时所有像素为白色,直到被转换为其它颜色,这就意味着那些坏掉的像素仍然是黑色而且很难被注意到。ASV的第三个改进就是响应时间减少,从45毫秒减少到25毫秒以下。此技术也主要应用于 Sharp的产品中。
AGLR(Anti-Glare Low Reflection TFT)技术原理与原来的 Black TFT的液晶显示技术原理是相通的。都是通过液晶表面加上特殊的化学涂层,令外界光线在屏幕上造成的反射发生变化,从而令背光源的光线能更好地透过液晶层,使亮度更高,反射更低。
  而在SHARP高端的专业级液晶显示器用笔记本电脑的液晶面板方面,ASV与AGLR技术通常会结合使用,效果表现会相比起只是采用Black TFT技术要好,因为ASV主要是针对提高色彩显示效果,而AGLR技术则主要是降低光线造成的反射,两者分开处理将会令显示器更专业,技术结合性更强,令到产品更具市场竞争力!
■HYUNDAI的FFS
  现代 Hyundai电子则采用FFS(Fringe Field Switching)技术也不需要额外的光学补偿膜,主要是将IPS的不透明金属电极改为透明的ITO电极,并缩小电极宽度和间距,在制造上比原先的IPS技术复杂,但因为使用了透明的ITO电极让透光率比IPS高出2倍以上。在视角的呈现上达 160度,反应时间因受制于采用负型液晶制造,反应时间则略逊于IPS技术。为了增加良率与显示品质的提升,新的UFFS(Ultra FFS)技术,能将原色重现率提升至75%以上。
■PANASONIC的OCB
日本松下(Panasonic)所开发的OCB (Optical Compensated Birefringence)则有不一样的做法,完全以新开发的液晶材料与光学补偿膜作为核心材质,是一种高速反应的光学自己补偿型复折射式技术,虽然在视角的呈现上仅有进步达140度以上,但反应时间却能缩短至10ms以内,而色纯度的改进为传统TFT三倍以上,多半用于娱乐视听型彩色液晶显示器面板,这也是Panasonic PC用彩色液晶显示器的售价居高不下的原因。
■NEC的ExtraView
NEC 作为全球能生产20英寸液晶屏数不多的生产商之一,其也研制出可以扩大可视角度的ExtraView技术。XtraView增加了浏览角度,确保了用户可以获得最佳的显示性能,并可以在上下、左右任何一个方向浏览屏幕。通过扩展浏览角度,使得多个用户可以纵向和横向模式观看屏。此技术目前只应用于NEC的 LCD产品中。
