SECURITY
File Manager Pro extends DotNetNuke security to provide a granular level of control. Key functions are grouped and access to these groups is controlled through module configuration settings. By assigning the appropriate role for a function group within a module instance, you can create an infinite variety of security configurations. For instance, in one module instance you could enable "File Management" for "All Users", but enable "Traverse SubDirectories" for users in edit roles only. In this scenario, "All Users" could only manage files/folders in the root; sub-directories would be invisible to them. However, users in edit roles could manage any sub-folder and its contents. Also, since Meta Data is instance-independent, the same folder can be displayed in multiple module instances, with varied security profiles, giving even greater flexibility and control.
File Manager Pro uses encrypted URL's for accessing file resources. These URL's may be configured to automatically expire after a certain number of minutes has expired. This ensures that unauthorized users cannot access shared resources.
Archives created using File Manager Pro can be encrypted using BlowFish, TwoFish or Rijndael encryption to ensure the security of sensitive documents.
COMPATIBILITY
Speerio File Manager Pro is distributed as a PA with installation files for DNN 2.1.2 and DNN 3.x. You can choose to install either version. No database objects are created or used by the modules. The only exception is module settings which are stored using built-in DNN capabilities. |
