A Smart Tortoise

Does it strike you as plausible that a tortoise could outmatch a tiger? But on that very day, the impossible became a reality.
Bathed in the bright sunshine and delighted by fantastic scenery, the little tortoise was taking a stroll to aid digestion. Yet a thunderous roar shattered the tranquility. ‘Hah! A frog!’ the tiger guffawed. ‘My dinner has arrived!’ As the massive figure of tiger loomed into view, the tortoise froze with terror, feeling nearly suffocated. Time waited for no one. Seeing the tiger pounce toward the frog, the little tortoise mustered every ounce of courage to bite the tail of tiger. Fortunately, the diversion worked perfectly as the tiger caught between rage and astonishment, the frog seized the moment and plunged into the water. No sooner had relief come than it vanished – the little tortoise’s heart clenched as the tiger fixed it with a glare. The beast roared, ‘I'll hurl you into the sky!’
Perturbed but resolute, the little tortoise sharpened its thoughts for a wiser plan. The world as if held its breath…then a breeze carried destiny’s reward. A superb idea flooded into its mind. The clever tortoise painted its face with radiant smiles, pretending to appreciate this skyward trip as the wonderful gift. The tiger stops, "I will throw you into the river." Barely containing its secret joy, the tortoise expressed in a tone of depression: "Oh, no! I will die if you throw me into the water."
Finally, "Thank you, Mr. Tiger." The tortoise and the frog swim away together. A gentle wind played a soft melody as it rustled through the lake, a symphony of nature that only the kind heart could truly hear
