System->Security level and Firewall->set Firewall ooption Disabled

can not use
sudo /etc/init.d/iptables start
start the firewall

if want to start the firewall

System->Security level and Firewall->set Firewall ooption ->Enabled

sudo /etc/init.d/iptables status
should be able to use iptables
