1. I am returning this book. 我想要还这本书.

借书叫 borrow a book, 还书是 return a book, 不过有趣的是, 他们不会说 "I return the book.", 而会说 "I am returning this book." 因为事实上现在进行式有未来的意思在里面, 所以这句话就等于 "I will return this book."

2. I want to renew this book. 我想续借我的书

Renew 就是'续借' 的意思. 比如说你去图书馆借了一本书, 书到期了但是你还想继续借这本书, 你就可以说 "I want to renew this book." 任何固定时间一到要去换约我们都叫 renew, 例如你的汽车牌照过期了, 或是你的保单到期了要去更新或是中文里讲的续约, 也是用 renew. 比如说, "I want to renew my car insurance for this coming year. "
