Good morning, respected professors! I have been expecting this interview since I got the interview notice. My name is Gaowei. I come from Shanxi Province. As a graduate, I have finished my four-year learning in Lvliang college. I have been making every effort to obtain the chance to further my education in this university.
Generally speaking, I’m a person with great perseverance, especially when doing what I’m interested in. I will try my best to manage it no matter how difficult it is, both in study or work. For example, when I was a freshman ,I joined the robotics team of my school, I found the programming used in the robotics competition very interesting. To design a effective strategy for team, after hundreds of time of debugging, I was the first one in my team to own a effective strategy , and won the first prize in the underwater robot competition of five provinces in North China.
Despite the fact that I have learned my major for nearly four years, my knowledge of this field is still at a superficial level, and this is the main reason why I decided to pursue my postgraduate learning here. I hope that by further study, I will be competent and skillful to deal with practice issue in a professional way. And I hope the three-year learning here will deepen my understanding of computer technology by forming a systematic view, and lay a solid foundation for my professional career. Lvliang University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Lvliang , Shanxi.
The school motto "Hongyi Xingzhi" comes from the traditional Chinese cultural classics. 3、谈论大学生活
To be honest, the first year of college was kind of overwhelming. The transition from classes of 50 students, to lecture halls packed with 200 people might make it hard to focus; And it was basically like a trial run at adulting. Luckily, I gradually figured out how to make my college life more，fulfillig and interesting.

4、本科期间喜欢和讨厌的课程（What is your favorite and hated subject and why?）
English was absolutely my favorite course because I have benefited a lot from learning it well.
Speaking English gives me Access to a World of Entertainment.
Many of the world's top films, books and music are published and produced in English. Therefore, by learning English you will have access to a great wealth of entertainment and will be able to have a greater cultural understanding.
As far as classes I didn't like, one jumps out immediately. I had a film class , which was an optional course. We watched black-and-white movies for two hours during each class, including Roman Holiday,Modern Times and stuff like that. At first, I felt it was a waste of time.
Then I gave in and decided to give it a go. Finally, I realized they were all pretty great movies!
Although film-making has changed exponentially since those days, the course provided a fascinating glimpse into an earlier era.
5、你的兴趣爱好（What are you interested in?）
I love reading extracurricular books since I was in high school. At the beginning, with the encouragement of the class teacher, in order to better improve the writing ability, a strong reading atmosphere was created in the class. Gradually, reading became one of my hobbies. In addition, I also like to practice martial arts and play erhu, which also play a role in cheering the mood and reducing stress.

The person I admire most is my father.He is a kind,upright and hard-working man. He always works diligently and contributes himself to our family.What I admire most about him is his emphasis on hard-working.He is always very enthusiastic about his work and rarely complains.I often see him working hardly even if it's late at night,and never slept in,which motivates me to learn from him.In my future study and life,I will always remind myself that I should be detail-oriented,treat my study seriously as my father do his work.
7、优缺点
(1) What is your greatest strength?
I feel that my strongest merit is my ability to stick to things until I get them done. I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job and it turns out just as what I have planned.
Besides, my work ethics are strong, that is why I remain exceptionally focused when working on a deadline. I don't just meet deadlines. In fact, I make sure that the effort I put in manifests itself in the result.
Finally, my leadership skills are excellent, and they have led me to spearhead many projects that have spelled success for the team. I am thorough when it comes to work, and never leave a problem in limbo.
(2) What is your greatest weakness?
When I'm working on a project, I don't just want to meet deadlines. Rather, I prefer to complete the project well ahead of its due date. While this means I never miss a deadline, it also means that sometimes I can find myself rushed when I'm working.
I've since learned to slow down, be more patient, and give each project the careful attention it deserves.
8.What challenges do you think you will encounter in postgraduate period? And how do you plan to cope with them?
I think the biggest challenge during the postgraduate period is the academic research. Although I am very interested in this major and confident to learn every course well, I will definitely encounter some difficulties on the road of academic study, which cannot be solved by my current knowledge. In this regard, I think I should develop a positive attitude and admit my own shortcomings at first. Secondly, I will communicate with my mentor, listen to her opinions and suggestions, and choose an appropriate research method under the guidance of her. Finally, I will improve my ability of self-study, read more academic documents, and make a practical research plan and schedule.
9.Please talk about the design process of your graduation thesis.
Please introduce your graduation thesis.
My undergraduate thesis is Mobile phone recommendation system based on big data. It is mainly about implementation of recommendation algorithm. During preparation for this thesis, under the guidance of my supervisor Yanglei, I read many relevant articles such as Implementation of collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm and matrix decomposition, and referred to some literature especially the book Recommendation algorithm, which gave me lots of enlightenment. At last, this paper was published on my school, and luckily gained the honor of "Excellent graduation thesis". Through this thesis, I learned a lot not only in professional aspects, but in the way of dealing with all kinds of issues, which have laid a solid foundation for my future graduation study.
10.Can you talk about your plans in the postgraduate study?
What do you expect to achieve during your study if you are enrolled into this institute?

【参考回答 1】 I've already made a plan for my postgraduate study. If I am lucky enough to be admited to this university. I will make good use of the three years at this university. First of all, I will spend all my efforts on pursuing the knowledge of my major and mastering the research methods in this field. Besides, I will read all the books my supervisor recommends and try to read as many books as possible. In addition, I will do a part-time job relevant to my major and in this way I can put the theoretical knowledge into practice.
