How to apply the visa to UK in Japan
about the visa application in Japan, so I wrote a letter to the british embassy in Japan.
I am glad to get the return so quickly
The following documents should normally be provided in support of an application for a Student Visa for the United Kingdom.
[x ] Current passport (and any previous passports);
[x ] Application form VAF1 (available from the Embassy by mail or in person, or can be downloaded from www.ukvisas.gov.uk);
[ ] * Your flight itinerary (e.g. flight confirmation);
[x ] Two recent passport-size photographs;
[x ] * Evidence of funds (e.g. original updated bank books or monthly bank statements for the last 6 months. A certificate of balance is not acceptable);
[ ] Visas for countries to be visited after the UK (if required);
[x ] Your re-entry permit to Japan;
[x ] * A School / college / university enrolment letter from the UK;
[x ] 1. If you are a company employee: an original leave letter from your
employer, giving permission and the dates of your leave;
2. If you are a student: a Certificate from your current school/university in Japan;
3. If you are self-employed: Evidence of your occupation, such as your company registration, etc.
[ ] An original letter from your employer confirming the purpose of your visit to the
UK and giving a financial guarantee (where appropriate);
[ ] * An invitation letter or information on your international conference;
[ ] * An invitation letter from your relatives / friends in the UK;
[x ] A copy of your alien registration card in Japan;
[x ] A non-refundable application fee of the Japanese Yen equivalent of GBP 36 in cash (due to exchange rate fluctuations this may be subject to change at short notice. Please see our website at: www.uknow.or.jp for the latest exchange rate);
The fee at the current exchange rate is JPY 7200.
If you submit your application by post, the application, including the fee in cash, should be sent by cash registered mail, or "genkin kakitome kozutsumi", enclosing a self- addressed return envelope with postage stamps for JPY 700 .

1. You may submit your application in person or by post. In either case the Entry Clearance Officer reserves the right to call you for an interview. If you submit your application by post, you should enclose a self-addressed return envelope with postage stamps for JPY 700. Further information may be requested, either before or during an interview.
2. An interview in person is generally required. The first available appointment for an interview will always be offered. At busy times a queue for such interviews may develop. Please check with the Visa Section.
