Mysql fundamental knowledge

• Mysql 5.1, 5.5 are more stable than other versions.

 

• postgresql has more strict "sql standard " than mysql.

 

• A server contains multiple databases, a database contains multiple tables, a table contains multiple records.

 

• Transaction(事务):  a series of database's options which have strong connection.

 

• Relationship of cmd and mysql:   cmd(client) <-->  mysql(server)

 

• connect mysql in dos:

　　　　1. move to the folder where there is your mysql's installation is located.

　　　　2.> mysql -u[username] -p[password]

 

• mysql's default port is 3306
