下面通过神（上帝）的语言来阐述设计的思想

7.1. LED Zen （LED 禅)
"This philosophy of the LEDs began high on the mountain as Ge the Goddess of all things that provide light, lit up the sky with the following commandments:（LED的哲学就像站在山颠上提供光明、照亮天空的万物的ge女神，它遵循如下的戒律，）  n. 诫命（commandment的复数）；戒律
1.  Thou shalt light up when appropriate.（Thou：汝 ，shalt：应该。汝等必须在合适的时候点亮）
2.  Thou shall show as much information as possible (without being ridiculous).  （Thou：汝 ，shalt：应该。汝等须提供更多的信息而不是可笑的信息）
3.  Thou shalt meet the appropriate standards. （汝等须满足适当的标准）
4.  Thou shall not blink excessively.  （汝等不要过分闪烁）
5.  Thou shall provide enough information in the LEDs to do a first level of trouble-shooting.  （汝应该提供足够的信息为第一时间处理问题提供方便）

The physical UMC chassis is what presents the customer with a lasting first impression.  It is therefore imperative that in order to provide consistent display of alarms and power up sequences, all plugins must conform to what has traditionally been referred to as "LED Zen".  Essentially, LED Zen describes the philosophy of the LEDs within the UMC.   LED Zen Follows the following principals:
?    Keep things simple and Obey relevant standards.
?    LEDs are for first level maintenance and system turn-up.  LED indications should be backed up with explanatory text on the user interface. Cards operating correctly state must be unambiguously identifiable form all other conditions.
?    Strive to be consistent over all cards and all operating modes.  Integrate into and out of all LED and alarm indication states for at least 2.5 seconds.
There are many different indicator type deployed over a variety of different services.  There are some common behaviors, also, which are outlined below.
